Carbon reporting expert

Specialism:

What is a carbon reporting expert and what do they do?

Carbon emissions reporting measures the emissions produced by a certain activity or process. This involves identifying contributions to climate change and also assisting in developing policies to reduce emissions going forward. In the UK, certain companies are now required to adhere to SECR (Streamlined Energy and Carbon Reporting), which came into force in April 2019. This involves reporting on global energy usage and greenhouse gas emissions.

The carbon reporting expert will be familiar with the regulatory requirements and be able to measure against key benchmarks. The role may be one that is within a large business, or it may be as part of a consultancy business assisting and advising a variety of companies in a number of industries.
