Corporate reporting accountant

What is a corporate reporting accountant and what do they do?

Corporate reporting accountants are responsible for the preparation and filing of information that is required by external stakeholders to a business, including statutory financial accounts filings, tax filings and intrastat (or other government requirements on the trade and operations of the business).

A keen interest in technology developments pertinent to accountancy, and a considered, intentional approach to leveraging them for service improvement is key. As they are required to prepare the external financial statements, corporate reporting accountants  are often also involved in the external audit process.

Capabilities

While the accountancy profession offers diverse career options and paths, the core capabilities required to perform at the highest standards remain the same - irrespective of skill level or job role.
