What is a risk advisory professional and what do they do?

Risk management, often referred to as enterprise risk management (ERM) reviews the processes within an organisation to assess the risks and manage the business's response to them. Reviewing the likelihood and size of the issues (such as using a SWOT analysis), and the professional will assess these risks, consider their likelihood, probable impacts (including magnitude) and devising a response strategy. The professional will then monitor the process, making adjustments and reporting accordingly. The risk advisory professional will be responsible for undertaking a number of risk assessments, based on the company's risk framework. Usually working in a team, reporting to the ERM Manager.
