What is a transaction services manager/senior manager and what do they do?

Transaction services (TS) teams support clients looking to buy a business, sell all or part of their business, merge with another business or list on stock exchanges through initial public offerings (IPOs). TS professionals perform a number of advisory roles throughout the deals process but are perhaps best known for providing due diligence services.

TS managers are responsible for ensuring that teams work in a coherent and timely manner, responding to issues as they arise and adapting work plans as required. They have a key role as a point of contact between the client and the firm, as they will be visible and a figure of authority and knowledge at the client site.
